Roger Connor (1857–1931) was a 19th-century Major League Baseball player. Although he played for several teams, he spent the most time in New York. Some say he was responsible for the New York Gothams becoming known as the Giants. Connor was a home-run king and hit 138 homeruns during his 18-year career. His record stood until Babe Ruth broke it in 1897. Published as an Old Judge baseball card ca. 1890.
