William "Buck" Ewing (1859-1906) was an American Major League Baseball player and manager. Many consider him the best catcher of his era. This memorable photograph shows him posed with the New York Giants mascot, Willie Breslin. Willie is wearing a miniature New York Giants uniform that was exactly like those worn by the players. Published as an Old Judge baseball card ca. 1888.
