These very young children are dreaming of being players in a large baseball arena. The two older boys in the center are laddering hands up the bat to see who will go first. The bat looks to be child-sized, but the mitts at the front of the photo are not. The tallest boy is wearing a baseball uniform. The "W" on his sleeve probably means he was with the Washington Senators, perhaps as a bat boy. Photographed ca. 1921.
