This US mailman performed his duties in style, riding a gleaming motorbike to deliver and pick up mail. The bike is a Flying Merkel, made between 1911 and 1915 by the Merkel Company in Milwaukee (at that time). It was parked with the kickstand down as the mailman picked up the mail from a street depository. Note the poster on the pole behind the bike. It reads, "Spitting on the sidewalks and public places except into cuspidors PROHIBITED BY LAW."
