The "Café-Concert" was painted by the French painter Édouard Manet (1832-1883) in 1878. He often painted Parisian café scenes such as this one, showing various snapshots of social life at the end of the nineteenth century. This café, the Cabaret de Reichshoffen, was the scene of several of his café scenes. The original hangs in the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
