Charles Lincoln "Buck" Herzog (1885-1953) was an infielder and manager in Major League baseball. He played for four National League clubs between 1908 and 1920: the New York Giants, the Boston Braves, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Chicago Cubs. His obituary in the New York Times was titled, " BUCK HERZOG DIES; Fiery Third Baseman Under McGraw Set a World Series Record of 12 Hits in 1912." This photograph was taken ca. 1911.
