A brave visitor to the Grand Canyon stands on an a cliff overlooking the magnificent vistas of one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. The Grand Canyon is located in the US state of Arizona. It is one of Earth's deepest gorges with the Colorado River running through its middle. It has an average depth of one mile (1.6 km) and an average width of 10 miles (16 km).
