Gordon William "Pawnee Bill" Lillie (1860-1942) was an American showman and performer. He specialized in Wild West shows and had a short partnership with Buffalo Bill. This poster was for one of his shows. The bold type reads: "The Great Pawnee Bill Shows. The Only Genuine Wild West. Touring America This Season." Other type reads: "Over 1000 People and Hoses Employed," "Every Equestrian Nation in the World Represented," "Only White Buffalo on Earth," "2 Performances Daily, Rain or Shine, See the Weird and Startling Street Parade Every Day Starting at 10:30 A.M." "Seats for 10,000 People under Waterproof Canopies."
