This charming painting of children and women in the Jardin du Luxembourg (Luxembourg Garden ) was painted in 1883 by beloved impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). The garden is located in Paris. Marie de' Medici, widow of King Henry IV of France had it created in 1612 as she built her new residence, the Luxembourg Palace.
