The print, "Cathedral Rocks, Yosemite Valley," is from an oil painting that was created by Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902), ca. 1872. The original is part of the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The Cathedral Rocks are a group of cliffs, buttresses, and pinnacles in Yosemite National Park, located on the south side of the Yosemite Valley near its entrance. Cathedral Rocks has three main summits, called Higher, Middle, and Lower Cathedral Rocks.
