The Battle of Corinth took place in Corinth, a vital rail center in Mississippi. Confederate troops under Gen. Earl Van Dorn tried to take the center on October 3, 1862. The following day, Union troops under General William Rosecrans defeated the Confederate Army. This color lithograph was created ca. 1891.
