This portrait photo of Charles Dillon "Casey" Stengel (1890-1957) was taken as he played outfield for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1915. Stengel was an American Major League Baseball right fielder and manager. He is best remembered for his time managing the New York Yankees, who took 10 American League pennants and seven World Series championships between 1949 to 1960 under his leadership. He is remembered as one of baseball’s greatest managers and made it to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966. Ca. 1915
