Stunt shooter Annie Oakley (1860-1926) was born Phoebe Anne Oakley Mezee. The Ohio sharpshooter was nicknamed "Little Miss Sure-Shot" by Sitting Bull, who toured with her in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in the 1880s. She was a crack shot, even better than her marksman husband, Frank Butler.
