This poster celebrates the Apache Sunrise Ceremony, or na’ii’ees. It is a four-day ceremony that Apache girls celebrate after their first "moon cycle." It is celebrated in the summer, beginning on a Friday and lasting for four days and four nights. The girls who participate dance and run into the four directions to symbolize the four stages of life. This print illustrates this important Apache celebration. The original was painted by Arizona Apache artist Duke W. Sine.
