William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody posed for this studio portrait with Sitting Bull, famed medicine man and military leader of the Hunkpapa Sioux. Sitting Bull was paid $50 a week and expenses to tour with Cody's Wild West Show for four months. Sitting Bull became the show's main attraction. Photographed ca. 1880 by David F. Barry.
