The Adam Forepaugh and Sells Brothers Circus was a major circus that entertained Americans from 1896 through 1911. The show was a major competitor of P.T. Barnum and Ringling Brothers. This promotional poster reads across the middle: "Forepaugh and Sells Brothers, Shows Combined." To the right, "The Great and Only Troupe of Marvelously Educated Sea Lions and Seals." At bottom, "Trained by Captain Woodward. Every feat pictured above actually presented. $500.00 will be given to anyone producing a similar act." Ca. 1899
